Musicians’ playing in a class of its own 
The musicians in the Dortmund Philharmonic exquisitely brought out the colourful aspects of the score, while Stefanos Tsialis guided the orchestra through this beautiful music with his calm conducting.
The percussionists and brass were in a class of their own on this evening, the woodwinds (reinforced by saxophones) were perfectly balanced, and the sweet, late-Romantic sounds of the strings accompanying the romantic scenes by the sea resounded with impeccable cohesion.
